Black & White Kettle Corn


Ingredients:

1/4 cup Vegetable Oil / High Temperature Oil

1 cup Popcorn Kernels

1 Tbs. "Dalmation Cookie"

Sprinkle Salt

 

Equipment:

Measuring Cups & Spoons

8 qt. / 2 gal. Soup Pot

Matching Lid

Oven Mitts

Large Bowl

 

Instructions:

Place the Soup Pot onto the stove and heat on medium-high heat.

Drizzle oil into the pot and let heat for about a minute.

Place in 2-3 popcorn kernels, and place lid, off-center, on top.

When the kernels pop, place in the remaining and "Dalmation Cookie."

Stir kernels as often as possible to prevent burning. One way to do this is shaking the pot, turning in circles to ensure the unpopped kernels stay on the bottom.

Once popping slows, turn off heat. Keep stirring/shaking until popping has just about stopped.

Take off the burner, and take the lid off.

Flip the kernels into the bowl. Sprinkle with salt if desired.
